ADJUST PILATES
Adjust Pilates offers small group classes. The 3 classes offered are strength classes, clinical Pilates classes, and reformer Pilates classes. The classes are run by Justin O'Donohue, who has over 10 years experience teaching Pilates, and Audrey O'Donohue, who has been teaching since 2019. The aim of Adjust Pilates is to help you become stronger, more flexible, more confident in your body, and to have fun whilst achieving these goals.

‘You will feel better in ten sessions, look better in twenty sessions, and have a completely new body in thirty sessions.’
Joseph Pilates

Your InstructorS
Adjust Pilates was started by Justin O'Donohue in 2017. After working as a myotherapist Justin completed a Diploma in Rehabilitation Pilates through Polestar Pilates in 2009. He then furthered his study by completing a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science (with distinction) at CQU in 2018, and a Masters in Strength and Conditioning at Edith Cowan University in 2021.
Justin O'Donohue
Justin has been teaching clinically based Pilates since 2010, and added strength classes into the business in 2022. At Adjust Pilates we use evidence based research to provide exercise therapy for musculoskeletal conditions such as; spinal disc injuries, pre and post hip and knee replacements, shoulder pain, tendinopathies, and also for general improvements in strength.
Audrey O'Donohue
Audrey has a Bachelor of Nursing, with Post Graduate Certificates in both Critical Care/Intensive Care and Wound Care. Audrey completed her Polestar Rehabilitation Pilates Certificate in 2019, and has been working at Adjust Pilates teaching both Clinical and Reformer classes since this time. Audrey loves that moment in Pilates when a client realises that all those "impossible exercises" are actually achievable.
Tara Baird
Tara is a registered Osteopath working in the Macedon Ranges, as well as a qualified Clinical Pilates Instructor (APPI). GROUP REFORMER CLASSES
These classes utilise a variety of reformer, mat and small apparatus exercises to build strength, and improve mobility and flexibility. Each participant in the class does the same exercises prescribed by the instructor. The classes have a maximum of 4 people, are high energy, and lots of fun. All abilities are catered for, with both progressions and regressions of exercises given to cater for ability.
-
CLINICAL PILATES GROUPS
Clients are assessed in two to three private sessions before they enter a class. In these sessions movement and strength are assessed so that a program can be tailored to address any specific musculoskeletal conditions or injuries. These classes involve the use of all of the main pilates apparatus including the trapeze table, wunda chair, ladder barrel, reformer and spine corrector. Programs are continually updated and progressed week by week, to enable that clients are moving towards their set goals and improved movement.
-
STRENGTH CLASSES
Each new client has their strength assessed and tested in an initial individual session. Testing consists of a back squat, deadlift and bench press, along with some other assessment of lower limb, upper limb and trunk strength. The information gained in this session is used to write up a 12-week tailored program that will include a muscle building block, a maximal strength block and a power-based block, along with exercises to address any of the strength deficits found in the initial session. The program is undertaken in a group of 6 people, with Justin coaching correct movement and technique during the session.

‘Pilates is complete coordination of body, mind and spirit.’
